Speak to me of….memories?

Walking along the beach, I noticed a female shape in front of me that made my heart race! It’s her! Then as I got nearer, nope, someone else. Good thing too, because my mind blanked out, except for a couple cheap “Hi, how are you?” phrases.

My thoughts  went back to the day I answered an ad…structural integration, it was called….that I saw posted in a Health Store.

I could try to censor these immediate thoughts and yet there is something about ‘flow’….and seeing what gets uncovered by just observing that past, as it pushes itself into the ‘now‘!
……so, I remember going for my appointment…

Play me a hero!

Ah, this is the time when we are looking at who we consider to be our heroes. We’ve been watching references to this phenomenon on the news media, in the paper and in public, generally and especially today..

I would assert that for most of us, we usually begin any conversation of this sort with a silent affirmation, “I’m not a hero and couldn’t be one.” I want to suggest a few thoughts about that…and I’m interested in the specific part that my dictionary includes in the definition. ‘someone admired for his achievements and qualities.’

Someone, please blacken my blue!

I am on vacation and just arrived by plane last night, having left the Great White North in exchange for ocean breezes and palm trees!

When I left home and had gotten through airline customs and was sitting in the passenger waiting area, I noticed that people were watching me. I didn’t think much of it since I was also watching other passengers, wondering who they were, where they were going, what their stories were…..you know, the usual stuff that we travelers do.

Why is it always ‘us’ and ‘them’?

The transfer of the Administration is soon taking place in the U.S. and the Canadian parliament has been shut down for a time.

It is interesting to note the amount of media time that is being devoted by the leaders to publish ‘reasons’ why things happened the way they did. What I am referring to here is ‘justification’ and not authentic discussion or de-briefing. Each ‘reason’ is tempered so as to include just enough ‘confession’ that we nod our heads in agreement that they are being honorable by ‘fessing up.’
