It’s your game, but whose party?

What a rush! Becoming a father, then grandfather, were amazing experiences and I have amazing children and grand-children! As a new great-grandfather, the feeling just expands.

The difference is that I have lived and experienced so much more of real life since I first experienced fatherhood. I love being a father, and there was a time when I wished that children came with operating instructions when they are born!

Who’s steering? I thought you were!

I think we are on the brink of a huge transformation in how we perceive ourselves as ‘the economy.’ Will we go forward, or go back to the perceived security of yesterday? I wonder.

Could you indulge an older perspective for a moment? I know, I know, the way we are supposed to think is….”If you ain’t got the solution, you’re part of the problem.” I disagree. I always say that this kind of thinking has tended to keep folks from sticking their neck out, in case they are thought to be fools.

There are three very important things we need to know about love…..unfortunately, no one knows what they are!!

I have no idea where my ‘ponderings’ are going to go in the coming months and saying something about the concept of love seems so appropriate. We’ve just finished using it in cards and seasonal greetings, even while it may have been dormant for a good part of the year.

The accomplishing of my community projects in 2009 is dependent on the strength of my relationships. I am struck by how often those relationships seem to imply varying levels of love. Or do they?

“What levels? Does love have levels? I certainly don’t know!”  Does anyone know? Continue reading
